The Mangrove Swimmer
The Sunderban tigers are extraordinary animals. Perfectly at home both on land and water, it is known to cross more than one river at time to find food, companion and new territory. A male tiger was crossing a big river. He swam very comfortably. We were following him on a boat. He was checking on us occasionally. We could see the dense mangrove forest at the backdrop of the river. So different and so difficult from terrestrial forests.
