Submission guidelines and how to enter

• The competitions are run on this website. To submit your images, please register on the website and you will then be able to upload images.

• Photographs of animals in captivity, pets and domesticated animals are not eligible for entry. The management reserves the right to refuse/remove any picture it deems ineligible for any reason. Also images which are deemed to be of poor quality will be removed with a communication to the participant.

• The competition is open to Indian Nationals only. The image could have been taken anywhere in the world. Owners of the winning image will be asked to provide valid proof of Indian citizenship, prior to being announced as the winner. Failure to do so will result in the image being disqualified.

• There is an entry fee applicable, which varies basis number of images submitted. The higher image counts the cheaper is the per image submission fees.

• The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers. There is a separate submission payment plan for students.

• If one desires to enter the annual competition directly he/she may do so by choosing the appropriate submission plans.

• Upon completion of registration, the owner of the images will get an opportunity to upload and review up to 30 images on the website, prior to submitting images to the open competitions. 

• The participant is required to select the relevant package from the listed competition.

• Upon selection, please select the images from the uploaded list.

• Please ensure the images to be submitted are listed in your user panel before you proceed to pay for the relevant submission pack

• Please select the appropriate submission pack and add the images before proceeding for payment as directed.

• Once the payment is confirmed, participant’s images will automatically get submitted for the respective competition. The payment confirmation will be displayed upon successful transfer.

• You can choose any pack depending on the numbers of images to be submitted. If in an event you have submitted the number of images chosen in the pack, you can opt for an additional pack as per your requirement. Participants are allowed to take multiple submission packs before the end of every month for image submission in the monthly contest.?

• Acceptance of Rules and Regulations: By submitting an image for the competition, the participant will be regarded as having accepted and agreed to be bound by the rules and regulations of the competition. While the organiser’s will exercise due care during the collection, selection and storage of images, it shall not be held liable for any loss, theft or destruction of the images.
• In case of insufficient images the management reserves the right to call off the contest or merge with the next month
• Use of Water Marks is not permitted in any submission
• Entry to the Incredible Madhya Pradesh contest shall ONLY be by images taken in Madhya Pradesh.

Terms and conditions of entry

• The competition is open to professional and amateur photographers. There is an additional section for submission by students. (Please contact us for submission fee structure for images to be submitted by students)
• Quantity of entries: Entrants may enter any category that they are eligible for, and may enter as many times as they wish, basis the submission payment plans.
• Quality of entries: If the quality of entries falls below the required standard, the organizers reserve the right not to award the image.
• Please avoid digital manipulation such as cloning and combining of visual elements. Your photograph should faithfully represent the scene as you saw it. HDR images and stitched panoramas are allowed. After receiving and reviewing the RAW (original image) file, any image that is discovered to diverge drastically from the original image will be disqualified.
• Image cropping is allowed. Cropping shall not exceed more than 20% of the width and/or the height of the original RAW or high-resolution JPEG image. If an image has been cropped significantly, the image will be disqualified from judging.
• Submitted images should be 1800 pixels along the long edge 300 dpi saved as jpeg with a quality setting of 12 in Photoshop. The image should be converted to an sRGB color space and must not exceed 2.5MB
• Photographs with borders, watermarks, frames, or name/signatures will not be accepted.
• By entering this competition, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display your photograph on our website, in addition to other social media websites, in connection with the promotion of this contest. In order to maintain anonymity, photographers will not be credited alongside their image, during the promotion of the contest.
• We may allow other websites to display a selection of the winning/highly commended images in order to publicize the results of this contest. We may also display the winning images in our mailing promotions. Here, photographers will always be credited alongside their image.
• Under no-circumstance will we use submitted images for commercial gain unless it has been agreed on a case by case basis with the photographer.
• Images which have been uploaded and not submitted to an open contest for up to six months will be periodically deleted.
• Image copyright: The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of all images entered. It is the legal responsibility of the entrant, and not the organizers, to ensure that they comply with these ownerships and copyright requirements and own the rights to reproduction of their images. Entries that do not fulfil these criteria will be deemed ineligible and disqualified. Where this is discovered after the prize has been awarded, the prize must be returned or refunded by the entrant. Entrants agree to fully indemnify India Photography Awards and its sponsors and employees in respect of all royalties, fees, and any other monies owing to any person by reason of the entrant breaching any of the foregoing.
• Owners of winning images would require submitting their identification for nationality verification and age proof if applicable (for students) before the award is announced and given. 
• This website operates an email newsletter program, used to inform subscribers about products and services supplied by this website. Signing up on the website implies we get your consent for the newsletter program. Some subscriptions may be manually processed through prior written agreement with the user. All personal details relating to subscriptions are held securely. No personal details are passed on to third parties nor shared with companies / people outside of the company that operates this website. Email marketing campaigns published by this website or its owners may contain tracking facilities within the actual email. Subscriber activity is tracked and stored in a database for future analysis and evaluation. Such tracked activity may include; the opening of emails, forwarding of emails, the clicking of links within the email content, times, dates and frequency of activity [this is by no far a comprehensive list]. This information is used to refine future email campaigns and supply the user with more relevant content based around their activity.
