Colours of Nature

They are found in Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan. This species inhabits moderately in moist scrub, rocky and sandy coastal areas, and open areas in dry forests and dry scrub lands. This species attains a maximum length of 8 inches. They have an expandable flap of skin under their throat, which is know as a dewlap. It is displayed during courtship display or communication to other individuals or to scare enemies.. The male in breeding plumage displays the color of dewlap.
