HOOPOE TERRITORIAL FIGHT
Hoopoes like to wander on riverbank grasslands which are fairly open. Here they get plenty of foods. They have long and slender bill which is slightly curved downward. Hoopoes use their to probe for their food like insects, worms, such as crickets, locusts, beetles, earwigs, cicadas, ant lions, ants and bugs. They also use their bills aggressively in territorial and other fights. In this shot two common hoopoes were fighting for their territory.
