ATTRACTION TOWARDS POLLENS
This is a male purple sunbird flying towards banana flower for the attraction of pollen. Hovering and flying is the unique behavior of this species. We call this bird as local Humming bird. As a bird photographer my always wish is to freeze the action of a moving bird. But to get this type shot is not so easy. It took me a long time to get this picture and I had to waste a lot of shutters.This is a ornamental banana flower. I found this at Uttar Banga Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Pundibari, Cooch Beha
