Manas National Park has a huge population of Asiatic Elephants. But in northeast India, the status of Asiatic elephant is seriously threatened because of incidences of conflict between humans and elephants resulting from human induced factors. Local people require assistance to enhance their knowledge of conflict patterns and to explore the possibilities of co-existence with elephants. It was my first trip in Manas National Park.
