The Nuggets
Nugget Point is an iconic panoramic platform on the Catlins coast with one of New Zealand's oldest lighthouses perched above the famous rocks named by Captain Cook because they looked like pieces of gold. The point is home to many seabirds, including penguins, gannets and royal spoonbills, and a large breeding colony of fur seals. Roaring Bay, on the south coast of the tip of Nugget Point, is home to a small colony of yellow-eyed penguins. EXIF: Nikon D850, Tamron SP 15-30 F2.8 Di VC, 16mm, F
